UKI cannot praise the Fez Food Tour with Asmae enough! I am not a foodie but was looking to discover how food and cooking have a place in Moroccan culture as it seems to be such an intrinsic part. I learnt this and so much more thanks to my foodie expert Asmae. One of the many highlights was visiting the honey souk, learning about the importance of honey in Islam and its healing properties. The tour provides a local’s insight into medina life. It became a cultural tour as much as a food tour, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for making my time in Fez unforgettable!

We had an excellent food and cultural tour of the medina in Fez, with Meryem educating us on the different areas of the market. She was very excited to teach us about the different spices, teas, honey, produce and meat, as well as the very interesting community bakery. We were able to sample special soups, cheeses and other Moroccan specialties. Meryem spoke English very well. She knew so many of the shop owners, and we were able to meet many of these wonderful Moroccans! She made us feel so comfortable on the tour with her confidence and knowledge of the medina!
